My work explores the shifting relationship between light, water, and place.
Living between the coasts of Stockholm and the Algarve, I am constantly aware of how change – the season, time of day, or weather – transforms what I see and feel by the sea.
This duality of location informs my practice, where I seek to move between representation and abstraction in order to capture not only what is visible, but also the sensation of being present within these changing landscapes.
Working mainly in acrylics, I use a range of tools and techniques to create movement, energy and atmosphere.
In this work, the choice of indigo as the main colour inspired me to capture the luminosity of evening light on calm waters.
